Kiara Fox - Founder
Kiara is a seventeen-year-old senior in high school who started Virtual Pride from her bedroom. This project is close to her heart, and she is so grateful to have the platform to be able to create a safe space for her community and especially for those still in the closet. She is headed to college for filmmaking and hopes that she can continue to fight for LGBTQ representation in the media going forward.
Lito Loza - Co-Organizer
Lito is a twenty-year-old LGBTQ+ advocate that has been involved with pride since high school and has the goal of having more LGBTQ+ education and representation in media. They’re an aspiring singer and actor that currently works in immersive show environments.
Conall Ross - Co_Organizer
Conall who goes by the internet name ‘Tak’ is incredibly ecstatic to have the chance to be a part of Virtual Pride. Not only is this an important event for him, but this will also be his first Pride! As a future educator, Tak cannot wait to set a strong example for his young future students, as this is a fantastic way to do so!
Sophia Brunetti - Co-Organizer
Sophia is a senior nursing student who hopes to bring more LGBTQAI+ representation to the medical community while providing compassionate care to her patients. Her first pride was last year in San Francisco and she absolutely loved the positive and inclusive energy that she was met with. She is very excited to be a part of this event especially because people who could not otherwise attend can participate.
Tash Charitonuk - Co-Organizer
Tash is a twenty-three-year-old artist within the LGBTQ+ community. Their life dream has been to create a more accurate depiction of life within the media by increasing the representation of parties that continually are either excluded or misrepresented.
Yahzee Mendez - Co_Organizer
Yahzee began her TikTok as an outlet to express her sexuality freely and to help others in the LGBT community find acceptance in themselves. Yahzee holds this Pride very close to her heart as she came out as a lesbian, June 2019, but was rejected by people closest to her. She strives to make Pride enjoyable and a safe space for everyone in and out of the LGBT community as one’s race, gender, sexuality, or age matter when there is love.
Jackie James - Co_Organizer
Jackie’s content mostly bounces from comedic to social justice. She uses her platform to uplift people of all ethnicities, sexual orientations, religions, etc. It is her goal to not only educate the people who view her content, but to make them feel valid, and to have a laugh in the process!
Ocean Van Exel - Co-Organizer
Ocean, yes it’s actually Ocean, is so excited to be apart of this virtual pride. Pride is such an important part of her because it’s a day everyone gets to be surrounded by love and express how prideful we are to be who we are.
Rebecca Dundee - Co-Organizer
Goes by Becky. Becky is a twenty-one-year-old photographer who loves to represent the Indo-Caribbean LGBTQ+ community. She uses Tik-Tok to create humorists, fashion, and gym tips to help people to keep positive. She is also super duper excited to be a part of Pride by making this as fun as possible and to promote the Desi and Indo-Caribbean LGBTQ+ to be accepted regardless of taboos in our culture.
